Vivo nei Balcani e forse lo sento più di altri\, e la mia opinione è che la Guerra Fredda non si è mai fermata. Questo tipo di tensione nel mondo è continuata nel corso degli anni. Quindi la guerra fredda ha solo cambiato forma. In un momento critico\, ogni 20 anni\, viviamo quel picco durante il quale alcune piccole cose sono sufficienti a portarci vicino alla catastrofe. \nBIO REGISTA \nDragan Bjelogrlić è uno dei più noti attori\, registi e produttori serbi\, con una carriera di attore che dura da 40 anni. Nato il 10 ottobre 1963\, dopo aver completato gli studi a Belgrado\, si iscrive alla Facoltà di Arti Drammatiche. Ha debuttato come attore a 15 anni nel film Bosko Buha (1978). Ha recitato in quasi 40 film\, circa 20 spettacoli televisivi e 11 opere teatrali. Dal 1994\, è anche fondatore della casa di produzione COBRA FILM\, che ha prodotto numerosi spettacoli teatrali\, film e programmi televisivi di grande successo. Nel 2010 debutta alla regia con il lungometraggio Montevideo\, Taste of a Dream. \nPLOT \nAt the height of the Cold War\, in October 1958\, the fear of nuclear war grows daily. A group of young communist scientists\, led by Professor Dragoslav Popović\, are contaminated by a lethal dose of uranium during a secret experiment at the Vinča State Nuclear Institute in Yugoslavia. To receive experimental medical treatment\, they are secretly transferred to Paris\, to the Institut Curie clinic run by Dr Georges Mathé\, a well-known opponent of nuclear weapons. Mathé feels contempt for the work of the scientists\, who in turn doubt his intentions. With only a few days to live\, Mathé proposes the first human bone marrow transplant. I live in the Balkans and perhaps feel it more than others\, and my opinion is that the Cold War never really stopped. This type of tension in the world has continued over the years. So the Cold War has only changed form. There are critical moments\, every 20 years\, when we experience that peak during which some small things are enough to bring us close to catastrophe. \nDIRECTOR’S BIO \nDragan Bjelogrlić is one of Serbia’s best-known actors\, directors and producers\, with an acting career spanning 40 years. Ma con l’arrivo della loro nuova matrigna\, Victoria\, le cose cambiano: faticano a catturare l’attenzione del padre e sono costretti a rispettare le fastidiose regole imposte da Victoria. Entrambi sono certi di una cosa: Victoria deve sparire! Un giorno\, mentre legge un fumetto\, Henrik ha un’idea geniale: assumere un killer! Ma come trovarne uno? E come procurarsi i soldi? Per risolvere il problema\, i bambini chiedono aiuto alla loro nonna\, che appoggia entusiasticamente il loro progetto. Insieme\, proveranno a ingaggiare Carl\, tuttavia\, tra malintesi e risate\, il loro efferato piano si trasforma rapidamente in una serie di comiche disavventure. Chi avrebbe mai pensato che assumere un killer potesse essere così divertente? \nNOTE DI REGIA \nCon uno sguardo satirico sulle divisioni di classe\, voglio raccontare la storia di due bambini di una famiglia benestante che si sentono così privilegiati da provare a convincere un immigrato rispettoso della legge a fare l’assassino per sbarazzarsi della loro matrigna. L’umorismo è un elemento chiave della narrazione\, e ci sono molte situazioni comiche che nascono dalle interazioni tra la famiglia ricca e Carl\, oltre che tra i due fratelli. Non c’è una ragione valida per togliere la vita alla matrigna; se ci fosse\, la storia sarebbe completamente diversa. È proprio in questa assenza di giustificazioni che trovo l’umorismo del film. \nBIO REGISTA \nGunnbjörg Gunnarsdóttir è una regista di origini islandesi e norvegesi che vive a Bergen\, in Norvegia. Inizialmente fotografa autodidatta\, ha iniziato la sua carriera nel 2012 realizzando video musicali e cortometraggi. Nel 2018 ha scritto e diretto il suo primo lungometraggio\, Forever and Never\, un film che affronta con leggerezza il tema maternità. L’anno successivo ha co-diretto il documentario The Art of Fallism\, che affronta il tema del razzismo e delle discriminazioni di genere in Sudafrica. È nota per il suo interesse per i temi sociali e per la sua capacità di integrarli in generi differenti\, dalla commedia\, al dramma\, al film d’azione. \nPLOT \nHenrik and Hedvig\, brother and sister\, are used to getting everything they want from their wealthy family. However\, with the arrival of their new stepmother\, Victoria\, things are changing: they struggle to get their father’s attention and are forced to abide by the annoying rules imposed by Victoria. Both are certain of one thing: Victoria must go! One day\, while reading a comic book\, Henrik has a brilliant idea: hiring a killer! But how to find one? And how to get the money? To solve the problem\, the children ask for help from their grandmother\, who enthusiastically supports their project. Together\, they try to hire the law-abiding Carl\, however\, amid misunderstandings and laughter\, their heinous plan quickly turns into a series of comical misadventures. Who would have thought that hiring a hitman could be so much fun? \nDIRECTOR’S NOTE \nWith a satirical look at class division\, I wish to portray these two children from a wealthy family\, who feel privileged enough to persuade a law-abiding immigrant to do the job of an assassin – to get rid of their stepmother. Humor is an important part of the concept\, and there is a lot of comedy in the relationship between the wealthy family and Carl\, and also between the two siblings. There is no obvious reason to take the life of the stepmother\, if there was the story would have been completely different. This is where I feel the humor is\, at least my kind of humor. \nDIRECTOR’S BIO \nGunnbjörg Gunnarsdóttir is a filmmaker of Icelandic and Norwegian descent living in Bergen\, Norway. Initially a self-taught photographer\, she started her career in 2012 making music videos and short films. In 2018 she wrote and directed her first feature film\, Forever and Never\, a film that deals with the topic of motherhood in a light-hearted way. The following year she co-directed the documentary The Art of Fallism\, which tackles the issue of racism and gender discrimination in South Africa. She is known for her interest in social issues and her ability to integrate them into different genres\, from comedy to drama to action films.
